Carla Duprey

Carla has worked as a specialist clinical negligence Solicitor for over 12 years. She is a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Accreditation Scheme. She is also dually qualified and is an admitted attorney in New York State.

Carla knew that clinical negligence would be her area of specialism from early on in her career. She is aware that people don’t always know what has gone wrong with their medical treatment and feels privileged to be able to help people to understand their situation in more detail. She also tries to support her clients, as much as possible, to help them to move on with their lives after they have received poor medical treatment.

Carla has a keen eye for detail in cases and is focused on achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.

Career Highlights

• Passing the New York Bar Exam.
• Settling a claim for £27.4 million, which is among the highest settlements in the UK to date.
• Won a 3-day clinical negligence trial in July 2017, obtaining indemnity costs.
• Resolving a long running case for a client who had suffered a brain injury during surgery, settlement was approximately £4 million.
• Resolving a claim for a client who suffered damage to their eye following sinus surgery, settlement was £600,000.
